BMC WWII Amphibious Landing Craft LCVP Boats
From the CLASSIC ARMY MEN COLLECTOR SERIES, BMC Toys brings back another American toy from yesteryear. This pack of 4 LCVP Higgins Boat type Landing Crafts are proudly manufactured in the United States. The set includes 4 gray vehicles. Each boat features a dual gun turret, ramp that opens and closes, and rolling wheels. The ramps, turrets and wheels may be fairly stiff to operate at first. Boats are approximately 5.9 inches long, 2.1 inches wide, and 1.5 inches tall. Made from fairly stiff, polypropylene plastic with medium detail and some flashing.
These pieces were first produced in 1958 by LOUIS MARX AND COMPANY for their legendary Battleground Military Playsets and were included in numerous sets spanning many years. These are some of the most iconic plastic army men vehicles of all time despite their small scale This 2019 reissue is manufactured using the original PL1016 mold and also includes a new optional sticker sheet to dress up your amphibious assault.
